Expressie is described as a one-step color and shine system that is 8-free, vegan, and dries in 60 seconds. These polishes also feature essie’s first-ever angled brush, which was really different and interesting to me. The bristles are in a wide, flat brush shape (similar to the nail polish brush that essie was updated with this past year) but the brush is angled almost like it is bent slightly to one side.

I received 4 of the polishes from the expressie line for Christmas and I thought it would be really fun to share with you my honest first experience and review! Keep on reading to see swatch pictures of the 4 shades I have and hear my thoughts.

“throw it on” is a soft lavender creme. I’m wearing 2 coats and top coat. This is such a pretty shade! I can definitely see myself wearing it in the spring. I usually prefer cool toned purples, but this one has a rosy quality to it that I actually really like. Application was smooth but definitely be careful: this could easily be a 3 coater if you do too many strokes and start pulling off the bottom layer of color.

Nail Polishes, Let's Talk Essie.

“air dry” is a gray-ish blue creme. I’m wearing 2 coats and top coat. You guys probably already know I love this shade! It’s a really beautiful color and it applied like a dream. It’s not too vibrant that it’s unwearable for everyday, but there’s still enough color to make it really fun and interesting.

“get a mauve on” is a mauve-y purple creme. I love this color! So universally flattering and classic. I’m wearing 2 coats and top coat. This color will look good on so many skin tones and it was, again, easy to apply. Similarly to the lighter purple shade, this polish could become a 3 coater if you start getting bald spots during the second coat. I had to be a little careful that there was enough polish on my brush so I wouldn’t be left with those spots!

And last but not least is “mic drop-it-low”, a magenta-wine creme with a red-magenta shimmer to it. I’m wearing 2 coats with top coat. This is so pretty when it catches the light! I expected it to be darker, and magentas aren’t really my style. In the bottle, the base color almost looked burgundy, and in some darker lighting this polish still kind of looks like a burgundy on the nail. Still, if you’re into dark pinks with a little bit of sparkle, this shade will be right up your alley.

Essie You Do Blue Review And Swatches By Nail Laccquer Uk

So my verdict on the drying time: It’s true! I finished the first coat on my one hand, touched the first nail I painted, and it was dry to the touch. I’m sure you could have still dented it with a good amount of force, but it was good enough that this would be a good polish for when you’re running late. I can definitely see this being the kind of polish that you can slap on and head out the door.

The other unique thing about this line is the new brush in the bottles. For me, there was a slight learning curve to using a brush that was curved on one side and flat on the other. I have never really had trouble using brushes that are curved on both sides, even on my other hand, but if you’re still struggling to find a brush that works for you maybe you can give it a try. I did sometimes find it frustrating when I had to flip the brush to get the right angle to paint the sidewalls of my nails. But the second time I used these polishes, I felt a lot more comfortable with the brush. I think it could be a helpful feature for people who struggle with painting their other hand! Overall, I didn’t think it was a “make or break” part of these polishes.

The only thing I have with this line is that as far as I can tell, it doesn’t require a top coat. Being the nail polish fanatic that I am, it goes against my nature to paint my nails and not apply a top coat. The expressie line includes a “clear” color called “always transparent”, but it doesn’t seem like that is a top coat per se. I really hope Essie comes out with a top coat in this line, as well!

A pale rose gold metallic, Handmade of Honor is the most pigmented shade out of this collection. The formulation is super opaque and smooth. I used two coats for the swatches below.

My favorite shade from this collection, Forever Family is a stunning mulberry red shimmer. The formulation is creamy and pigmented so I used two coats for the swatches below.

A pale gold shimmer, You're Golden is a little sheerer in comparison to the previous two shades but the application is smooth and even. I used two coats for the swatches below.

This is a unique semi-translucentsoft pink polish sprinkled with a dash of iridescent glitter flakes. The polish is quite sheer and a little tricky to apply so I ended up using three coats to ensure a smooth and even coverage.

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish Range

This is a beautiful light blue cream that's perfect for a spring wedding. The formulation is smooth but surprisingly sheer. I needed three coats for the swatches below.

A very sheer milky white scattered with subtle iridescent glitter flakes (smaller than those in "Moments to Mrs."), Picture Perfect is quite challenging to work with. The application is super patchy. I needed a fourth coat on a couple of the nails to ensure a smooth finish. Even then, you can still see the free edge of my nails.

Overall, this is a very unique and stunning bridal collection. The formulation is a bit of a hit and miss but I do strongly recommend the shades "Handmade of Honor", "Forever Family", and "You're Golden". Which is your favorite shade from this collection? Essie Where's My Chauffeur Nail Polish Review

All Tied Up is described on Essie's website as a 'rustic bronze', however it's a definitely warm, dusky, rose colour. And I love it. Suspended in the gorgeous hue are tons of teeny gold glitter particles which they say are 'subtle'. In person, it's more.. non-existent, which I'm not upset about. It's not garish or lurid, just the perfect, every-situation colour that's been on my nails for weeks.

Summit Of Style is a beautiful topcoat with a lotttt of golden glitter of different sizes. It only takes a couple of coats to build near opacity, so Essie aren't scrooges unlike some cheaper glitter polishes. I love the tone of gold in this one; it's not too canary yellow, not too pale and silvery, but just right. #Goldilocks

A Cut Above is a Luxeffects, glitter topcoat in a pinky hue, much like it's golden-bronze cousin. Again, it takes little effort to build up the glitter, and I like grading this one on the tips of my nails for a bit of a glitter ombre.

Essie ''sugar Daddy'' Nail Polish

My favourite ever polish, Chanel's Malice, was unfortunately limited edition, but Essie's Thigh High is (thank you babyyyy Jesus) a pretty good dupe! A deep, dark, metallic red, I fully preempt wearing this all of winter.

Skirting The Issue is really quite like Chanel's Rouge Noir, and has a far better finish and formula than other dupes I've tried. This creamy, slick finish goes on beautifully and the garnet red tone is to die for. I actually think it shows up a a fair bit lighter in my photo/good lighting than in person but either way I'm in.

The National Nail Technology Theory Examination is designed to evaluate the skills and knowledge of candidates applying to be licensed to work as nail technicians in the United States.

The Nail Technician exam is split into two sections: Scientific Concepts and Nail Technology Procedures. There are a total of 110 items to complete within the span of 90 minutes.

Nail Technician Courses

The Nail Technology Procedures section requires you to perform various procedures and is not a written exam. During this portion of the exam, the test proctor will give you verbal instructions as to what to do and the order in which you should do things. Do not begin before the proctor has completed their instructions and told you to begin.

Through our latest research on remote hiring, we wanted to know, given these pros and cons, how can job candidates really stand out during the virtual interview process?

We watched 513 video recordings of remote interviews from around the world — 55% from North and South America and 45% from Europe and Australia — conducted during March and November of 2020. We analyzed both recruiter and participant responses, as well as data from the actual interview processes (how long was the interview?), aesthetics (what background did the candidate and the interviewer use?), and participant engagement (did the candidate develop a rapport with the employer?).

Of the 72% of job candidates we observed who did not bag offers, the majority (around 80%) appeared to be distracted, failed to engage their recruiter in a meaningful way, or seemed as though they were reading from a script. Simply put, they failed to make an impression because of poor interviewing skills. On the other hand, candidates who had a strong virtual presence, displayed confidence, and were able to communicate clearly and establish a natural rapport with their interviewers, proved to be much more successful. I was surprised to see real interest in my first attempt with resin and nail polish in this past tutorial. There I used the dry marbling technique on some previously cured resin pendant blocks. This time I wanted to see if I could use just nail polish for the background and decorative features and save the clear resin for the top. Using nail polish is an easy way to get colorful enamel. Plus, it is a lot of fun. You need only small quantities and don't have to mix any colored resin.

The inspiration for this tutorial comes from the amazing nail artists you see on Youtube. Their skill astounds me because they are working on tiny "canvases", They repeat the design up to 9 more times for all the fingernails!

I watched this easy nail art tutorial by LifeWorldWomen which deploys the needle nail art for wet polish work. I rather liked the heart design at the start so that was what I tried to do - a hearts feature for Mother's Day.

There are almost TOO MANY amazing winter nail ideas popping up on my Insta and Pinterest. Add to that the gorgeous shades I’m seeing roll out from our favorite nontoxic nail polish brands and it’s all I can do to not repaint my nails every other day. Here are the hottest nail ideas for winter, coming in cool and moody for 2023.

Is it black? Is it blue? No, it’s DARK green! This season’s green trend is to take the hue to its edge. The best polish picks are emerald in tone but near-black in shade, and make everyone do a second glance at your tips. One coat is clearly green; two coats and WHO EVEN KNOWS.

Obvs, a dark red is an easy winter pick. This season’s best dark reds are rich in hue, cooler in tone and bordering on black (see a trend here?). I’ve found myself reaching for this color over and over again, in shades from dark berry to deep brown-red.
